To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/wst. C. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/wst.1/AD6.12.31. X6132 POLARISED MOVING IRON AMMETER. We have approached the Weston Electrical Instrument Co. and they are forwarding to us a sample instrument of the type that their American Co. fit to the American R.R. chassis. We quote their remarks as follows :- "We are pleased to advise you that we are moving into new premises in the course of a few days as we have completed Works in this country for the manufacture of our instruments. In due course you will receive an official announcement to this effect, and whilst we shall not be able to immediately claim 100% British manufacture, we shall gradually work to that end as soon as we can get our new manufacturing departments organised efficiently. We believe the sample instrument we are forwarding you is about the colour you require to match your other instruments, and we trust you will be pleased with its appearance and that it may prove acceptable for your work as designed."
