P. Worth, Esq.,
Works Manager,
India Tyre & Rubber Company, Ltd.,
Inchinnan, Scotland.

Dear Mr. Worth,

Thank you for your letter of the 6th January.

I do not think we have ever criticised the India tyre from the point of view of its skidding qualities; cornering ability, however, does not depend upon the contact with the road, as you undoubtedly realise.

We have carried out comparative tests on the Dunlop 6 x 17 and the India, and there is not much to choose between either tyre; they are both more sensitive to tyre pressures than the standard equipment.

I think it is a good idea to let Mr. Summers try the larger sectioned tyre, because one way of introducing this would be to offer it as 'optional' equipment. It is surprising, however, what a small number of complaints regarding tyre wear we get on the Bentleys.

We have only one set of experimental wheels left in the Works at Derby, the others being on the Continent and in London. We would like to keep one set of wheels here for reference, but are willing to let you have them for Summers if you want to satisfy him immediately.

With best wishes for 1937,

Yours sincerely,
