Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 3rd. re your making of experimental camshafts in Monikrom to EW.1416 and woul point out that you can regard the camshaft as having no spiral gear.

This is only for a tachometer drive and therefore is not necessary on the camshafts you are producing for us.

We note you ask for a drawing of the cam form and propose leaving a surplus metal for casting of .047 and rather than send you a complicated cam form drawing we enclose a sketch of the cam form which leaves approximately .050 surplus metal over the finished detail drawing.

This sketch being in simple form will no doubt ease the making of the pattern.
