We are finding that dynamo output after increased mileage on test is falling off. There is a drop of approximately 1 1/2 amps. at maximum output. We have returned a sample machine to Mr.Brock which complied a week ago with the output speed performance curve issued by EFC. We expect that he will pay attention to brushes and get back to the original performance, but it is questionable whether this will be maintained in service. We have noticed suspicious signs of solder melting in the commutator. Are we to expect the drop in performance as the result of use, if so, is there any point in returning these machines to MrBrock for attention to the brushes, if the output is going to fall off with further running.
