R.R. 285A (100 T) (S.H. 159. 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 Contd. -2- (3) Regret that I do not quite follow you. The friction of the band against the end of bridge, when drawn through, is less than might be supposed because the band is hard and flexible and the surface against which it bears is formed to a suitable curve, and clearance is given. However, great the friction at this point, the band will pull through and this upward pull of the band will be balanced by the downward pressure of the bridge, and the construction of the Hose will be even. (b) I very much regret that pattern B is not ready. I still await material. Hoping that the samples prove suitable in every way, Yours very truly, C. Londell. | ||
