DATE.: 27/2/12. Re Worm Axle Car with Standard Engine. TBB1/L27212. On February 20th Mr Nadin wrote to us that there should not be any trouble in substituting our standard engine on, say, chassis 2004, in place of the Marine Engine. The Drawing Office has reported on the alterations necessary to bring this arrangemen t in, and these alterations are as follows - Re F.{Mr Friese} Section. 1. The present side members at present fitted will be scrapped and standard members substituted with special drilling. 2. Rear spring brackets (front) and the rear spring swivel brackets will be scrapped. 3. Side steering tubes scrapped. 4. Special undersheets and guards etc. will be scrapped and new ones have to be designed. 5. Dashboard will be scrapped. 6. Rear engine bracket castings will be scrapped and new ones be designed X/41 This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
