1280 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.7/MH.{M. Huckerby} 23rd. April 1938. Mr.Dunn, Messrs. John Marston Ltd., WOLVERHAMPTON. Dear Mr.Dunn, Am enclosing a copy of the paper on Automobile Cooling which I am presenting before the Derby I.A.E. graduates on April 25th., which I think might be of interest to you. On the whole we are very satisfied with the Bentley 50 shell and grille which you sent us - the plating is, of course, defective as discussed over the 'phone, but presumably this could be rectified before you assemble the final radiator. In any case the shell is not quite true to drawings and may need slight modifications to correct this. However, for a hand made experimental job I think you are to be congratulated on this shell. Presume that you are going ahead with the inner radiator unit as arranged - shall shortly forward you further detail drawings which have been completed. The machined pieces which we will supply are the head-lamp support assembly complete, the steam valve casting, etc. - we will shortly send you a list of these. As soon as it can be arranged we will forward the shell and grille to you for assembly purposes. Have handed the Bentley II dummy shutter set and the Wraith bottom tank to our Inspection Department, but have not yet had their report. Yours faithfully, | ||
