20 HP. CHASSIS.
STARTER MOTOR PINION DRIVE FOR REPLACEMENTS.

With reference to the attached standardisation sheet. The object of this std. sheet is to prevent any more of the old original type Bendix Drives being manufactured for repairs or replacements.

When cars come in for repairs, and it is necessary to do anything to the Starter Drive, a new type one will be fitted instead of attempting to repair the old one.

There is no suggestion that all the drives on the car should be replaced - if the matter arose, it would be put to the Administration before any action was taken.

With regard to the second paragraph of your note. We have asked the Cost Dept. to supply you with this information.
