1159? (Experimental Dept.) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}8/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 16th February, 1939. Mr. F.W. Baker, Oldswinford, STOURBRIDGE, Glos: Dear Sir, In reply to your letter of the 14th instant, your patent is interesting, and provided we could try the spring wheel under our conditions at small cost, we would be prepared to do so. It is not possible for us to assess the value of your wheel except on one of our cars. If you would care to make up a pair of wheels to fit the assembly shown on the enclosed drawing, provided the charge was reasonable, we would be prepared to test it. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
