CONFERENCE SECRET. To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Er. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} re B.III and 3½-litre Jaguar Comparison. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/E6.5.38 400 Referring to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}29/G26.4.38 the comparison figures you give are very interesting. Re Item 4 we of course would like to retain the ¾" greater elbow room on B.III as compared with Jaguar. Re Item 5, it is of course the extra width above the arm rests on the Jaguar, i.e. 3½", which gives them the apparent and in actual fact wider back seat - by this I mean ability to seat 3 more easily than we can, and I am glad to note that on B-B-V you are going to increase the width of the rear of the body to equal the Jaguar. As a matter of fact we think this increase in width of the rear wants to be done on B.50 as well but we will discuss this on Tuesday. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
