We consider that the present method of having separate drawings for Bentley V - Bentley 50 and Silver Wraith frames is thoroughly unsatisfactory. We suggest that one set of drawings could be used with the following notes. 1. Dimensions and parts marked "A" are required for "Bentley V" 2. Dimensions and parts marked "B" are required for "Bentley 50" 3. Dimensions and parts marked "C" are required for "Silver Wraith" This scheme has the following advantages. a.{Mr Adams} The number of drawings is very largely reduced, thus saving the amount of work in bringing these sets up to date. b. It will make certain that frame parts on the three chassis, can be made from the same dies. At the moment, we find that neither the front end nor the rear end of the side-members on all three chassis are similar. In order to produce these frames economically, it is essential that all items should be kept as similar as possible to the corresponding items on other chassis. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les | ||
