Referring to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.19.12.31 relative to stiffer road springs and Hartford shock absorbers on the above, I asked Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} to explain this matter to me because I could not myself understand it.

I attach two memos. from him. The second one was written because, having met Mr.Sopwith, who expressed surprise at having Hartford shock absorbers on his chassis, I asked Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} how they came to be ordered.

It looks as if this matter required clearing up, and after you have studied the two memos. in question, I should be glad to have your views and recommendations.
