To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} S E C R E T. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG15.1.25. EAC. 'V' SERIES. 44-PK. Further to our memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG14.1.25. We should like the Sales critics to give their opinion on the following points on 44-PK car :- (1) Position of head lamps. It was found that with the head lamps in the std. position there was a risk of the back of the lamp fouling the radiator shutters. To overcome this fault you will see that the lamp brackets have been twisted in the sockets and the lamps turned on the ball fixing. The effect of this is it spreads the lamps centres 2 1/2"; and it also gives us the desired clearance. We are of the opinion that this improves the appearance of the car. We recommend that we arrange all 'V' series lamps in this way. The Lucas name-plate on the lamps would have to be put in a fresh position to suit this new arrangement. (2) Number plate. It is proposed on 'V' series to carry the front number plate below the front cross member and below the hole of the starting handle. (3) Throttle governor. We think it is also necessary for Sales to realise that the throttle governor on the EAC. engine operates in a very different manner to the one on the present 40/50. contd :- | ||
