Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}2/H24.12.26. 29-HP. Landaulet, GSK-35. With reference to your memo PN{Mr Northey}3/EH22.12.26. we suggest in view of the undesirable feature in this engine, referred to in the last paragraph of the above memo, and in previous correspondence, also in view of the fact that considerable modifications are required to bring this car up-to-date, that this car should be disposed of and a new one allotted for demonstration work, a chassis with new type steering etc. The Works might be requested to push one through specially early. Again, we are doubtful if the undesirable feature complained of can be eliminated even by changing the engine. It may not be due to the engine or even the chassis. We do not, however, consider it sufficiently bad to warrant it being unfit except for Trials purposes; (it only seems noticeable on the front seats - open fronted landaulet). In the meantime, we are throughly going into all engine | ||
