X. 2238 RE MAGNETO SPEEDOMETER.

I have got a reply from the Hoffmann Ball Bearing Company dealing with the ball bearing as fitted to the above machine, and they say that their bearing is quite capable of having an end play .003 without any slack taking place in the bearing. This seems to differ from what we actually got in practice. I should therefore like you to say what we are actually getting with say .003 end play and .005. We can then take the matter up with them again.
