X3646 EFC1/AD. 23rd April, 1930. The General Electric Co.Ltd. 34/35 Moor St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Birmingham. Dear Sirs, Rectifying Valve. We thank you for yours ref. V/HB{C. E. Harcombe}/466. of the 12th inst. addressed to the undersigned. You have again sent us particulars of your E.H.T.2. rectifying valve, but we would say that this valve is of much greater capacity both in reverse peak voltage and in milliampere output than we require. We are a little surprised that there is no call for similar apparatus for a valve of output which we specified in our letter EFC1/AD. of the 8th inst., and we are disappointed that you cannot see your way to making what is after all a comparatively slight modification to an existing valve to make it entirely suitable for the purpose required and to suit an apparatus which we have already constructed and found to be of considerable utility. We await your confirmation that you cannot do anything in the matter after which we propose to make enquiries of other makers. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
