to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} V8630 EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/19.1.28. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RE SPORTS OPEN BODY AT BARKERS. -------------------------- When I was there last weekend they were asking for the following pieces to be sent down, and in some cases fitted to the dummy. The forward and intermediate front wing stays. The special sports type of cover over the pendulum lever. The step brackets. As they are held up for these pieces, we would be glad if you could let them have them as soon as possible. In view of the use which we are hoping to make of this car, we are intending to completely finish the painting. "Sales" have agreed to Polished Aluminium and Curzon Blue. It would facilitate matters and speed up the ultimate result if we let them have the actual chassis for mounting the body before painting. I mentioned this to "C" and he thought that it would most probably be possible by that time, with the announcement so near at hand. We should want the chassis for about a week. This would not be all wasted as there would be not mounting when in Derby. If you would kindly let me know if you agree to this, I will take the matter up with "C" when the time is ripe, and will let you have a wire at the last moment when we are ready to paint, so that you will have the chassis as long as possible.
