Re. 40/50 ENGINE AND CHASSIS VIBRATION.

With reference to the discussion we have had in regard to this matter, which has for some time been receiving attention experimentally, but in regard to which we have not yet been able to make any definite recommendations.

I now attach copy of memo I have today received from PN.{Mr Northey} in reference to Trials Car 81-TW, which we recently had at the Works, and which we attended to as per our usual routine in dealing with these complaints, which I discussed with you and which I feel we made the best of(without going to considerable expense) in such work as refitting the body parts and scuttle etc.

I certainly could state this was quite as satisfactory as any 40/50 high compression post war car fitted with the scuttle to the dash.

I have no doubt these features will be pushed by Sales Department and will possibly be brought up in future Conference. I feel, therefore, that it is necessary for us to be in a position to state that we are giving the matter the best possible attention under the circumstances.
