ERNEST TURNER
(London) Ltd

Northdown House, Northdown Street,
King's Cross, LONDON N. 1.

13th January, 1942.

E.A. Green, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Nightingale Road,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. Green,

The explanation of the terrific price for the special green draught excluder is a simple one. The fact is that the whole thing is a mistake, the tubing being charged up to us by Roberts at the sample price which was charged for the two yards originally made, instead of at the bulk price agreed upon.

Unfortunately a mistake was also made at this end in passing the order through to Roberts at the sample price, so that between us we have made ourselves look rather foolish. Anyway, we are glad to clear this matter up and enclose corrected invoices and credit notes, - and we are sure that you will agree that the prices charged are reasonable in view of the special work involved.

We would tender our sincere apologies for the trouble to which you have been put due to these unfortunate mistakes.

Yours faithfully,

Sgd. Alan TURNER.
