To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 1113 Kingsbury, May 10th.1937 BENTLEY REAR AXLES. We send you reports of a further four axles dealt with. Of the reports already sent only one B.122.JD.{J. Draper - Frames} had a prop. damper fitted. In the case of B.160.FB. this race is slack and no nip would overcome it as the two faces of the races are choc. In summing up axle troubles I should say 50% are due to faulty ball races 50% due to loss or over nip of ball races combined with the pinion setting. K/KC. states on the old Bentley they threw out all Ransome & Marles races and fitted Hoffmann's which got them out of their difficulties. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W.
