Y3465 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Dal/MG 4. 23. RE. LARGER STEERING WHEEL - 40/50. X.172. X.3465 We agree that the model steering wheel sent down here is the best section we have had so far and we consider that it should be standardised as soon as possible. The only objection we have to the model is that the notches are not made like Goshawk. These latter are much sharper and more clearly defined against the section. If it were possible to correct the model to be like this, so much the better, otherwise no doubt this correction would be made on the actual wheels. With reference to the construction of the rim we understand that the one on Goshawk is made of a steel tube with an aluminium spider riveted in. Presumably you will try this construction on the 40/50 wheels? Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
