LOCOMOBILE COMPANY OF AMERICA Incorporated Bridgeport Connecticut December 27, 1923. Mr. Herbert Chase Associate Editor Automotive Industries New York City, N. Y. My dear Mr. Chase: For several years now we have been listening to the subject of fuel, detonation, fuel doping, etc. which is going to bring about the millennium in the automobile industry. This letter will introduce Dr. Sokal, who has been working along an entirely different line of endeavor, and I believe a much more practical one. Dr. Sokal has been experimenting with the Locomobile, and several other cars with Katalite, which is a catalitic agent which is spread over the surfaces of the combustion chambers and achieves some very remarkable results. The reason I am sending Dr. Sokal to you is that we have made sufficient tests now on his material so that we feel absolutely satisfied that it has done and will continue to do everything that has been claimed for it. I think Dr. Sokal could write you a most interesting article on his work for your paper, and I have furnished him with some special data which was made by ourselves in our own laboratories without his assistance, and the results were so remarkable that I feel the sooner they are given out to the automobile world the sooner the public is going to benefit by his discoveries. Any courtesy shown Dr. Sokal will be very much appreciated. Very truly yours D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} ROOS Vice-Pres.
