To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 48220 BY/SS{S. Smith}7/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}14.1.25. Re EAC. - FAN. scrapped. We attach herewith blueprint of Scheme 602, showing a 23" dia: fan in position on the standard "V" & "W" Series chassis. The fan blade tip fouls the throttle Governor Housing at both the Bottom and mean positions of fan adjustment. As we understand you have a 23" dia: fan running on one of your chassis, we assume you have one of the old type cylinder blocks with the fan bracket facing 1" higher than the present standard. This position must, however, give inefficient fan working at the top of the matrix. Some little time ago Mr Elliott agreed that the dia: of the fan be reduced from 23.000 to 22.000 dia: to clear the throttle governor housing. Will you please let us know your requirements when you give us particulars of the fan you are now testing? BY/SS.{S. Smith} | ||
