1382 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}9/JH. 7th May, 1937. Mr. Price, Messrs. Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 5th inst. ref. HEP/BMT.62. marked for the attention of S.H.Grylls Esq., I would like to inform you that our tests so far have been confined to dry roads, strangely enough for England, and we are only waiting to run them on wet roads before returning them to you. On dry roads they are every bit as good as the X3 type tyres. They are being kept strictly under cover in the Exptl. Dept. stores. With regard to tyres for France we will let you know further details in about two or three weeks time. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
