To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}3/MJ.26.6.31. BONNET VENTILATORS - N.SCH.3232. The Flip-Flap type ventilators which were fitted to the bonnet on 25-EX. have been criticised on various points. Firstly, the ventilators were made to open forwards, apparently owing to an error at W.W. They should open to the rear of the car. Secondly, the radius of the corners was thought to be too sharp. This should be increased to .600" (at present it appears to be .300"). Thirdly, there was thought to be insufficient clearance round the edge of the shutter, this should be .0625" all the way round. Lastly, the shutter hinge is too near the end and should be moved .250" nearer the centre of the shutter. Will you please make up a pair of bonnet sides incorporating these modifications, and arrange for them to be fitted to 20-EX. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.J.Lidsey. | ||
