RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} C. F-P. H.S. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x312 E/HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.27.3.36. Phantom III Clutch. We have heard from RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/RH{R. Hollingworth} that there has been a case of an oilite bush seizing on the clutch and that it has been found that the bush has contracted 1 1/2 thousandths of an inch in inside diameter. The bush referred to is the one between the clutch shaft and the flywheel cover extension just forward of the fabric coupling. We should be glad to have a memo from you confirming this, and giving your opinion as to the seriousness of this trouble. E/HDY.{William Hardy} | ||
