- 2 - Rolls Royce Ltd., This gives us a figure of 40-watts or approximately 3.3 amps at 12-volts for H.T. power alone, and to this must be added heater watts, speaker field energising watts and pilot light. From this it seems evident that any equipment which is claimed to work on 2.4 amps at 12-volts either has an inadequate power output or does, in fact, take considerably more current. We entirely agree with you that the elimination of suppressors without the addition of electrostatic screening on the ignition system is a most desirable condition which we are all aiming at, and we are not overlooking any idea which may help in this direction. I am looking forward to discussing this with you further when I am next at your Works. With very best wishes for the New Year, Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of E.K.Cole Ltd., Rex I. Cowley CAR RADIO ENGINEER. I very much regret that I cannot get up to see you this week, will try to next week. | ||
