I duly received your wire reading as follows :-

and at once telegraphed you as under :-

HIVES RE TEN G THREE ARRANGING TOURING ACQUIT AND SUPPLYING BANK GUARANTEE OURSELVES TO AVOID DELAY STOP WILL SEND BOULOGNE REGISTRATION GREY CARD AND TAX RECEIPT WITH DRIVER MEET CAR ON ARRIVAL SEVENTEENTH

from which you will have understood that as there is no sufficient time for you to put up the necessary bank guarantee, we are at once requesting Lloyds Bank to issue same for Frs.160.000.- in favour of Barclay's Bank, Boulogne-s-Mer.

I have also asked the General Transport C° to make the usual application for a touring acquit, and am making the necessary arrangements to obtain a grey card with French registration numbers on Monday,- and pay the circulation taxes, in "CJ"'s name.

The grey card, tax receipt, and number plates will be handed to the driver I will be sending to Boulogne to meet the car on Wednesday, 17th inst.
