I note the situation in regard to this and I agree with you that in the circumstances we cannot very well charge Mr.Summers. I am, therefore, having the amount charged to experimental work.

I quite appreciate that the Summers family are very valuable clients, and I only raised the point because I was not certain whether Mr.Summers was looking upon it as an experiment for his special steel, or not.
Your memo, however, makes the matter clear.
