RE "EAGLE" ENGINES - MAGNETO DRIVE & FITTINGS. - X.3038.

With reference to alteration No.1937, to the magneto
E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
brackets E.12074/5, increasing up the amount of metal round the
E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
eyes carrying the pins for the magneto straps, will you please instruct that the first set of magneto brackets put through, incorporating this alteration, should be tested and reported upon by Mr Hives, under the above X number. They should have either two magnetos or a dummy which will represent the magnetos, put in place and the straps tightened up to find which will be the first to give way - either the straps or the eyes.
Please note that good straps should be used in order to get reliable results.
