X110 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.21/KW. 21st January, 1936. Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa. For the attention of Mr. Barker. Dear Sirs, Many thanks for the modified 11" Clutch and the 13 1/2 driven plates, which came safely to hand last Friday. We have arranged to send to you an 11-A-3 clutch for modification as in the previous case; i.e., weaker [handwritten note: no?] springs and improved balancing. We thank you for the drawing of the 13 1/2" plate, and look forward to your early visit, when we shall be able to discuss any points arising out of this, and also the broken 11" clutch reported previously. We are now running a 10" clutch with improved balancing on the test bed, but so far the engine has run for an hour or two only. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
