X 1511 W/Paris. To Sr. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}8/KT.16.5.33. Can you let us know whether any cars in France are fitted with the Fleischel transmission, comprising an automatic gear change above a certain speed for each gear when the throttle is released. If you know of a car with this device working satisfactorily, could you find out what chances there are of trying one in England. The American Reo has standardised a similar arrangement, but on this car one cannot delay the change into a higher gear above the predetermined speed by keeping the throttle open as is, we believe, the case in the Fleischel system. It was described at length by Faroux in a recent number of La{L. A. Archer} Vie Automobile. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
