GOSHAWK 11. ELECTRIC MOTOR. [Handwritten: Seen HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}]

We send you herewith drawing No. LeC 1585 showing the commutator for Goshawk 11. starter motor built up in the old fashioned style with micanite insulation and steel cones.

It is expected that you will be able after performing the usual operations to press the 2 pieces of the metal centre together with such a force that they will hold by themselves during the riveting up process shewn on the inner end.

Mr. Royce would like you to alter the design sent through for this type of commutator on the dynamo, replacing the thread and nut with the riveted up form of end shewn on LeC 1585.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
