We confirm having handed to you the following :- (1). Two idler gears with a number of teeth stripped off. (2). An idler gear which has run 30,000 miles satisfactorily. (3). A new gear of the same type. These are for comparative tests to determine the torque required to shear off the teeth, and to see whether there is any difference due to ageing of the fabric foundation.
