With reference to your memo re Decarbonising, Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} has referred to the question of a suitable marking on the engine so that in the future, a fitter will know at a glance that the pistons have been chamfered. I suggested a stamped letter on top of the cylinder block which could be seen upon lifting off the cylinder head.

Will you please give this your consideration so that all Depots will be informed.

Your memo was not sent to Paris, so I have copied it out and sent it to Sr.
