EFCl/T. -2- Contd. maintained. A certain amount of recovery will be seen to have taken place. It will be seen that the curve of emission obtained on the first run down is much more like what one would expect than the curve given in your leaflet. Further deductions made from this test are that it is bad to run the valve on 200 volts A.C. at a back voltage (D.C.) less than 60, and advisable to run it at a back voltage not less than 120, at which a rectified current of 35 m.a. should normally be obtained. As far as the tests have gone we do not see any reason why the maximum rectified current should not exceed 15 m.a., and we should have thought that it might have been stated that the valve should not deliver its rectified output at a lower voltage than 120, and that the maximum rectified current should not exceed, say, 35 m.a. We trust these results will be of interest to you and the undersigned would be pleased to hear your remarks. Yours faithfully, B.Sc. A.M.I.E.E. | ||
