Dear Sirs,

Many thanks for your letter of the 2nd instant, in reply to which, we would inform you that our Mr. Goldschmidt yesterday wrote a letter to your Mr. W.A. Robotham with a view to fixing an appointment to visit your Works on Thursday next, the 8th instant.

We wonder if it would be possible for him to see you also on that day, and should be much obliged if you would let us know if that would be convenient.
