-5- servise. We should like to know whether some of the American troubles are due to their not making a good job of the damper. It is unfortunate that we have got into trouble with the top pin bearing when the damper was redesigned for Phantom 11 as this has created an impression that we have not improved the shock absorber design. However, this trouble will not of course exist in American cars with the better material and raised oil level. It would be of great service to us if you could get hold of the most successful American hydraulic shock absorbers and bring them back with you so that we can see whether they really are not proof or whether they get away without knocks because they do not work efficiently.
