EFC. from Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} X-28940 15/9/26 Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}3/NJ15.9.26. Tungsten Contacts. Upon receipt of yours EFC4/T1.9.26, we communicated with W.H.Reynolds & Co. sending them the Remy and RR-Reynolds contact breakers you furnished and requested them to interchange the contacts on same and return to us as quickly as possible. At the same time an order was placed for 2 more sets of the Remy pieces with one additional screw point only. On the 10th inst. we received from Reynolds & Co. a small package containing one Delco Remy contact lever and point also small package containing Remy screw and rivet, but no letter accompanied same. We handed the parts to your assistant on the 13th inst. and on the same date wrote Reynolds & Co. for their explanation. We have received a letter from them dated 14th inst. as follows:- "It appears that we did not think it necessary to "enclose a letter with the Tungsten Contact supplies of "the 8th inst., as we supplied one new Delco Remy Screw "mounted with our Tungsten and fitted a Delco Remy blade "with our Tungsten mounted rivet. It was impossible to "have the Remy rivet from lever without destroying same. "These two Remy Contacts fitted with our Tungsten are "similar to those previously supplied, and we trust they "will prove entirely satisfactory." I understand that the new Remy pieces have been received and handed to you. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}! | ||
