With reference to Mr Elliott's sheet of the 21st re above addressed to me the second half dozen of these springs have run satisfactorily for 5000 miles and are still running. As already reported the first set ran satisfactorily for 10,000 miles. As we have now tested 12 springs and had no breakages this is certainly the best result we have had with any experimental valve springs. I understand that more springs and valves are being made for testing of these springs. Of course special valves are necessary. E.P. RP | ||
