Wraith Shock Absorber & Roll Rod Connecting Links
LEC. 7150.

As requested by Mr. Leslie we have investigated the question of cost arising from a comparison of the several types of Connecting Links, and the following information will give an approximate idea as to the relative factory costs of each type.

The figures we now give should not be used for any purpose other than viewing the comparative value of separate types of link under review.

(1) The type of Link shown on LEC.5607, which embodies a forged connecting link and horizontally spring loaded contact pieces, would cost approximately 52/- per pair.

(2) The type of link shown on LEC.5133 which embodies a swaged tube connecting link and rubber loading with paddle type ball pins, would cost approximately 23/- per pair.

(3) The type of link used on the 25/30HP. chassis would cost approximately 41/- per pair.

It should be noted that in order to obtain a true comparison we have allowed the cost of bijur piping and fitting on (1) and (3), also on (1) we have allowed for the special requirements of the bosses on the levers to which the ball pins attach.

We would point out that if the Oil Seal feature were deleted from the link described in (1), the cost difference between 1 and 3 would be reduced by approximatley one half.
