PETROL RATIONING.

You will see from the attached summary that we have made a very laborious and protracted investigation into means of transport to and from work for the Clan Foundry personnel.

I think we can now say that there is no possible justification in saying that any petrol is being used unnecessarily in this Department. If there are any further cuts, output will suffer.

The question of the bus ticket is very easily explained:- If these fellow' cars break down and they have not a bus ticket they are in danger of being unable to get to work at all, whereas with a ticket they can at least, in due course, arrive at Belper.
