R.R. 885A (100 T) (S.G. 643, 19-2-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2618 X 3315 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to CJ. X. 2764. X. 3315. RE VALVE GUIDES. We have noticed several patterns of lubricators and felt-like glands. We assume that these are not very suitable for the exhaust valves, owing to the heat causing trouble. They might be very useful for the inlet valves keeping them airtight and perhaps preventing wear by supplying lubrication. I shall be glad if you will trynall the patterns that are known. Mr. Elliott gives the following name, but you may know more - "Ayrtite". R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
