But I do not think anything less will give room for general use - i.e. would have to fit the owner, because if short in the leg he cannot use anything behind his back. My own troubles have been with the steering wheel too low. I favour 9" minimum from compressed cushion to underside of wheel - 10" preferred. I think Lord Curzon was quite right when he said our controls were too high. These should be made lower at once. They have grown, or the steering wheel is less dished. R. {Sir Henry Royce} | ||
