x206 S/W Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} C7/C11.6.36 Re B.80.GA...CHUBB. I understand from LA.{L. A. Archer} that you have had this axle for examination and I should be glad if you would please let me know what conclusions you have arrived at. On the face of it the matter appears to be fairly serious but I rather gathered you think it is an isolated case and that in some way it is mixed up with brake judder which, of course, sometimes occurs after drying off. I also understand from LA.{L. A. Archer} that you think this judder could be cured by cutting off a piece of the brake shoe. It would seem that the matter is rather a serious one as it might involve an accident and in any case it is rather a terrifying experience to the owner. Will you please, therefore, let us have your remarks and recommendations. C. | ||
