CTS{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}

Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Salt.

Regarding the pair of H.4. carburetters (which should be despatched to you tomorrow night) we have fitted to these our latest type of suction piston incorporating a hydraulic damper control on the "lift" - this prevents the piston rising too suddenly on snap throttle openings and avoids using needles unduly rich on the pick-up - which in turn generally leads to heavy consumption figures.

The enclosed print illustrates this new piston.

If you find the standard piston does all you require, then of course we will change the present pair going through. The majority of our recent contracts are fitting this hydraulic device.

Yours faithfully,
For THE S.U. CARBURETTER CO. LTD.

B. Cooper
