FRONT AXLE DAMPER ON THE BENTLEY.

It will be remembered that sufficient trouble has occurred at this point for the service situation to be considered serious.

For this reason the modifications were fitted to the last 15,000 mile Bentley S-B-IV, and these completed the test in excellent condition.

A standardisation sheet has been started, and is at present being costed up, but, in the meantime, there are a number of customers who have complained of rattles from these connections on more than one occasion.

We recommend that some parts should be produced as soon as possible to deal with these recurrent complaints, and also that the new pieces should be brought on production at the earliest moment even if a certain quantity of scrap has to be incurred thereby.
