G.F. X.393 To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}(?) NOV 2 copies HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG5.11.20. X.393 RECEIVED (stamped) RE MORGAN BODIES FOR CARS. With reference to the attached correspondence from LHS{Lord Herbert Scott} and Sp.{Mr Spinney} It is very evident from LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}'s memo. that he is not very enthusiastic about the Morgan Bodies and also that the position as regards obtaining bodies for Rolls-Royce Cars has now improved considerably. It is evident that to gain any advantage with the Morgan construction of bodies, we must order a large number of bodies of the identical shape. We should imagine that the Morgan body would look very similar to the bodies fitted to some of the American Cars. We do not consider the Morgan Bodies are any use for our present programme either for the 40/50 or the Goshawk but if ever we made a complete moderate price car, this type of body could be considered.
