We wish to test two types of piston on the SS.{S. Smith} engine viz : the single bolt pedestals with three rings and a perfect circle above the skirt as per WW. instructions - and the standard Phantom type of piston with four pressure rings and a perfect circle ring making five rings in all, the perfect circle being above the skirt. The standard type of piston must of course have a flat top. We wish to try out the standard type at the same time as the pedestal type. The std.
