PISTONS FOR 'SS{S. Smith}' ENGINE.

We wish to test two types of piston on the SS.{S. Smith} engine viz : the single bolt pedestals with three rings and a perfect circle above the skirt as per WW. instructions - and the standard Phantom type of piston with four pressure rings and a perfect circle ring making five rings in all, the perfect circle being above the skirt.

The standard type of piston must of course have a flat top.

We wish to try out the standard type at the same time as the pedestal type. The std. Phantom type we think will be the ones to go into production for the first SS.{S. Smith} engines.
