INDUCTION PIPE TESTS

Further tests of the six cylinder pipes prove that it is easier to obtain good slow running than with the 4 carburetters. If we retard the magneto sufficiently or use a battery ignition, we can run the engine at 200 r.p.m.

We anticipate we shall have to cut the curved slots in the throttle barrel as in the original Claudel because there is a strong spot just before the dead slow running position.

We have asked for a pair of the Claudel straight through type carburetters with the concentric ring float to test. We thought we might fit up an "Eagle" engine with a pair of six cylinder pipes and carburetters, and when we are satisfied with it; we get it tested in the air.
